🌿 Why We need Sustainable Fashion

🌿Do you Know over 92 million tons of textile waste are discarded annually, much of which ends up in landfills or is incinerated.

Fast fashion encourages a throwaway culture, leading to overproduction and overconsumption.

The fashion industry uses enormous amounts of water—for example, it takes ~2,700 liters of water to make one cotton t-shirt

It contributes to about 20% of global wastewater and releases half a million tons of microplastics into oceans yearly through synthetic fibers.

Carbon Emissions: It generates more greenhouse gases than international flights and maritime shipping combined.

Sustainability pushes for a circular model where clothes are designed to last, be reused, recycled, or biodegrade.

The fashion industry accounts for around 8–10% of global carbon emissions, more than aviation and shipping combined.

If current trends continue, by 2050 the fashion industry could use 26% of the world’s carbon budget.

Sustainability ensures that future generations inherit a livable planet and a fairer economy.

Sustainability in fashion isn’t just a trend—it’s a necessity to ensure the industry’s survival, protect vulnerable communities, and maintain the planet’s ecological balance.
